The Goal

About the Soundwall Jackson Band Logo

Soundwall Jackson is a roots rock project built out of the Siesta Key music scene, and this logo was created to match that identity from the ground up.

I have known Al and his music for years, so this was not one of those projects where I had to guess at the personality behind the name. I already understood the feel it needed to carry. Raw, homegrown, and grounded in Florida southern rock and blues. That gave the piece a real foundation before I ever started drawing.

The goal was to build a band logo that felt like the music and could hold up anywhere the project needed to show up. It had to work as more than a single mark on a screen. It needed to live on a vinyl sleeve, a t-shirt, a guitar strap, a stage banner, and across promo graphics without losing its character. That is why I approached it as a full identity piece, with custom lettering, hand-drawn illustration, and a badge structure that could also extend into wordmark variations.

The Result
The final Soundwall Jackson band logo works as both a distinctive piece of artwork and a functional identity system.

It has the grit and personality the project called for, while still staying flexible across light and dark backgrounds, merchandise, and music branding applications.

As a portfolio piece, it shows the kind of identity work I like doing most. Work that is personal, connected to the artist, and built to look right before a single note is even played.
